The RAC’s review and recommend project proposals to the DFO and Forest Supervisor associated with the RAC. The available funding is Title II (special projects on federal lands) of the funding provided through the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act (Secure Rural Schools Program | US Forest Service (usda.gov)).

Title II funding is used by Federal agencies, State and local governments, private and nonprofit entities, and landowners for protection, restoration and enhancement of fish and wildlife habitat, and other natural resource objectives on Federal land and on non-Federal land where projects would benefit these resources on Federal land.
